Reflections on Blogging

I'm not sure if I like blogging, because I guess, it's kind of hard to think of exactly what I want to say.  I mean blogging isn't bad, it's still kind of boring, so I probably won't start another one.  I mean, hey if you like doing and make money - go for it, that's all you - it's just not my cup of tea.  Maybe I would if I found a topic that I was reaaalllyyy into and wanted to write and talk about all the time.  Although, I like reading others blogs and seeing what their opinion on the topic was, I think that's nice.

Memorial Day

During my Memorial Day, I basically stayed at home and didn't really do anything.  So, no offense to the soldiers fighting to save our country.   I fully support them, and wish they could come home, but I didn't do anything to prove this.  Did you know the first Memorial Day was celebrated on May 30, 1868?  True fact, it was actually called Decoration Day.  People place flags or flowers to remember those who have died fighting for the U.S.  I think it's a good idea, keeping their memory alive.

National Month For...?

I think some people set up months to celebrate unusual things just because they are bored, or think maybe something needs to be honored.  Like my teacher said, May is the month for "Smiles", someone somewhere probably thought we needed to honor smiles.  Some people might celebrate it, just to be "connected with the world."  Some of the things we celebrate in May are Cinco De Mayo, Mother's Day, and May Day.  For the month of May I guess I wouldn't really like to celebrate anything other than Mother's Day, personally I think my mom deserves a day to relax.  I think we should celebrate the idea by just letting mothers have a day to relax, but that's just me.

Violence T.V.

Image result for game of thronesPersonally, I don't watch much T.V.; so I'm not exactly sure how much violence there actually is.  It depends on what your idea of violence actually is, if hunting shows to killing zombies - it's all a matter of opinion.  I mean, today basically all T.V. shows have some sort of violence in them, like The Walking Dead - everyone is basically killing a bunch zombies, or Game of Thrones because of how graphic they can get.  Often in Game of Thrones it's because of the fighting scenes, and they often show people getting their heads cut off or arrows fly everywhere, and let's not forget the blood.

Cinco De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of may is the day to celebrate the Battle of Puebla, why?  Probably to honor all the fallen warriors that fell trying to save their people.  The people who mostly celebrate this is the Mexican population, they often eat a lot of food, make a few "drinks", throw a few decorations around and ta da - a Cinco de Mayo party.  I'm not sure myself though if I'd want it to become a national holiday. I admit I like Mexican food, but I feel as though we just have to many holidays, but that's just me.

Prom!!!

I guess, I'm pretty excited about Prom, it's my first year and I get to goooooooooo with Durand, so this should be really interesting.  I think personally, it's very important to go to Prom, your senior year, because you won't get to see the people you go with ever again, but that's me.  To be also honest, I have no idea what After Prom is, but I'll probably be so tired, that I won't even care.

But the idea of Prom is over dramatic, like it's a dance... woohoo yay - big whoop.  I guess, it's just the idea you get to impress someone, but you can do that everyday - so I'm not really sure, right now I'm just going with it.

Earth Day

To me, Earth Day is basically celebrating how the Earth is "alive" and staying clean.  To try and keep the Earth clean, my family and I often recycle old newspapers, recycle water bottles.  Although, Earth Day is a very big and celebrated holiday, I myself, have never participated in any Earth Day celebrations.

I was doing, a little research on Earth Day, and I found out that 1) Earth Day was celebrated for the first time in 1970?  Which was about 45 years ago, pretty cool right?
Did you also know that countries all over the world celebrate this day?  It's true!  People often and try and "Go Green" by recycling, car pooling, or just walking.  It's pretty "Green" if you ask me.  Another thing that I found out was how people try to keep the "Earth Clean", for instance, they carpool or walk.
